World events during reign of Marie Antoinette/Louis XVI?

The time was 1774-1789...The American Revolution War 1775-81 was the big story outside France. France played a crucial role in the American war entering it in 1778 and tipping the balance against Britain. France also brought Spain into the American war starting 1778 so it went international and Britain, France and Spain fought till 1783. Elsewhere Poland was partitioned and mostly taken over by the stronger powers of Prussia, Austria, Russia. Austria won in the short War of the Bavarian Succession (1778/79) increasing it's power at the expense of the German states and was beginning to peak as a Great Power.
