Are most Catholic nuns protected by BODYGUARDS in selected places?

In September, 2006, Leonella Sporbati, a Catholic nun, was assassinated in Somalia ALONG WITH HER BODYGUARD. Their deaths may have been caused by angry Muslim(s) concerning Pope Benedict XVI lecture (Regensburg) that cited ancient passages of Islam's violent nature. Somalia was a former Italian colony and the Catholic church's presence would be not be unusual. But are nuns protected with bodyguards in other countries, Muslim or not? Are there Catholic churches in ANY Muslim countries?
